Employee FAQs

Q: How do I start?

A: Get started by filling out an online application. You can get it here. Then follow the steps outlined HERE, making sure to bring the proper documents to your interview.

Q: How do I get paid?

A: It's based on the preferences on the company hiring you, but generally weekly or bi-weekly.

Q: How often do you post jobs?

A: We post jobs whenever and whereever they become available to our workers. A great new way to stay on top of this is to visit our JOBSblog and subscribe to it. This way, whenever we have new jobs, you will automatically be notified.

Q: On the W-4 from, will less money be taken out of my paycheck each pay period if I enter more or less allowances?

A: In which of the following examples will they take out LESS money each pay period?

Example 0: I claim “0”
Example 2: I claim “2”

Claiming 0 will take out more; claiming 2 will take out less. But if not enough is taken out, you'll have to pay when you file your return early next year. The total money is the same, it just changes when you pay it.

Q: Do I have to pay a fee to Employment Resource Center?

A: No, there is never any charge to candidates.

Q: How can I submit my resume?

A: Get started online now at Applicant Registration.

Q: I submitted my resume to a job posting on the website. Do I need to re-submit my resume for other opportunities?

A: No. Once you have successfully uploaded your resume, we will retain your information for future opportunities. There is no need to submit your information more then once. Also, when submitting your resume, please upload in Word or Text only.

Q: My resume information has changed since I last submitted my information. How do I update your records?

A: Submit your resume information again and upload the new resume in Word or Text only.

Q: Does Employment Resource Center offer only contract jobs?

A: Absolutely not. Employment Resource Center offers several kinds of working opportunities. Some of our contract assignments are temp-to-hire. This allows both you and the client a chance to determine whether a particular job is a good fit. You may request to only be considered for permanent placement. Please discuss this with your recruiter during your initial consultation.

Q: What kinds of jobs are available?

A: We currently offer opportunities in the Technology, Accounting, Finance, Human Resource, Legal and Administrative sectors.

Q: What should I bring to my Employment Resource Center interview?

A: When you interview with Employment Resource Center, bring a copy of your resume, a completed application, any employment references with phone numbers, and identification that shows who you are and that you have a right to work in the U.S.

Q: Will my skills be tested?

A: To ensure that you're the right candidate for the demands of a specific job, we may assess your skills and characteristics in order to place you in an environment in which you'll be successful.

Q: What kind of companies use Employment Resource Center?

A: Employment Resource Center works with all sizes of business, from small independent companies to large national corporations.

Q: How long will it take to place me in a position?

A: It depends on the needs of our clients as well as your marketability, including your skills, availability, and flexibility. Some new employees are offered assignments immediately.
